Branding Design Project

Brand identity design for Offaly County Council’s new Climate Action initiative aimed at accelerating a green transition both within the organisation and throughout the county. 

We drew initial inspiration from the shapes and colours featured in the primary logo of Offaly County Council to ensure cohesion. The circular logo mark subtly alludes to a degree symbol, while the gradient colour treatment symbolises the fluctuations in temperature observed on weather charts. The cool, primary hues of blue and green together offer a hopeful vision of combating global warming.

Central to the brand is the incorporation of images featuring Offaly’s people within the county’s other-worldly landscape, forming an aspirational narrative that prompts meaningful change. The design team collaborated with midland based photographer Tanya Cullen of Bronte Photography, who captured the raw beauty of the Offaly.
